Stop copying by hand and losing diagrams from PDFs. Manual → knowledge base in one click.
MarkOneFlow opens PDFs right in Chrome, remembers where you stopped and turns your annotations into ready-made notes for Obsidian, Markdown or Word.
- 🖍 Smart highlights: the highlight colour becomes an Obsidian callout block
- ✂️ Drawings and diagrams saved as images in the
assetsfolder - 🔗 “Open page N” links jump straight to the right PDF page
- 📝 Export to Obsidian, Markdown and Word (.docx)
⚡ Works locally: your annotations and documents never leave your computer.
Reading technical docs is half the job. The hard part is finding what you marked later
The usual way
- Chrome’s built-in viewer forgets the page — you scroll from the start every time.
- Quotes get copied with broken lines and hy-phen-ated words.
- A diagram from the manual has to be screenshotted, saved and pasted by hand.
- Your notes have no link back to the original page.
With MarkOneFlow
- The PDF opens exactly where you stopped.
- Highlighted text comes straight from the PDF: paragraphs, bold and italics kept, hyphenated words joined.
- Draw a rectangle around a diagram — it’s already a PNG image in your notes.
- Every page in your notes has a link that opens the PDF right on it.
Three steps from PDF to notes
Open a PDF
From a web link or from your disk — the file opens in the MarkOneFlow viewer and continues where you stopped.
Mark what matters
Highlighter, note, pencil, shape or image. Give an annotation a name — it becomes a heading in your notes.
Export
“Export” → Obsidian, Markdown or Word. Your notes with quotes, snapshots and page links are ready.
A full PDF viewer with annotations — for free
Only exporting notes is paid. Everything else works without limits.
Reading position
Page, position and zoom are remembered. The file is recognised by its content, even if it was renamed or downloaded again.
Highlights and notes
Text highlights, notes on the page, your own colours and sizes. Fonts PT Sans, PT Serif, PT Mono, handwritten and system fonts.
Pencil and shapes
Draw freehand, circle things with a rectangle or ellipse, add arrows. Hold Shift for straight 45° lines.
Names and annotation list
A panel with every annotation in the document: search, sort by page, time or tool, jump to an annotation in one click.
Search and navigation
Search the whole document, page thumbnails, outline, two-page spread, rotation.
PDF with annotations
Download the file with all annotations — any PDF reader will show them.
Export to Obsidian Pro
YAML front matter, callout blocks by highlight colour, wiki links to pages and ![[…]] attachments.
Export to Word Pro
Page headings in Word’s navigation pane, quotes on the highlight colour, snapshots and links that open the PDF on the right page.
Export to Markdown Pro
Clean Markdown for Notion, Logseq and others: a ZIP with the .md file and images in assets/.
Highlight colour means something — it’s not decoration
Mark a warning in red and in Obsidian it becomes a [!warning] block. Green is a tip, [!tip]. Annotations are grouped by page, and each page links back to the original.
Page numbers are taken as printed in the book (“iv”, “12”), while the link points to the right page of the file.

Frequently asked questions
When can I install it?
The extension is being prepared for the Chrome Web Store. The install link will appear on this page.
How does the Pro trial work?
You start the subscription and get your key by email right away — Pro works for all 5 days. A card is entered at checkout; cancel before the trial ends and nothing is charged. After that it’s $19 per year.
How is the subscription different from lifetime?
The Pro features are the same. The subscription ($19 per year) includes all new features and email support. Lifetime ($39 one-time) is the current Pro version 1.x with no renewals; bugs are fixed when possible and there is no personal support. Switching from the subscription to lifetime? Activate the new key and cancel the subscription via the link in the Dodo email; the paid year is not prorated.
Lost your key or changed computers?
The key arrives by email and is also in your Dodo customer portal. To move it, click “Deactivate on this computer” in the extension settings on the old computer and activate the key on the new one. One key works on three computers at the same time.
Will my PDFs from disk open?
Yes. For local files, turn on “Allow access to file URLs” in the extension’s Chrome settings — once.
Do links from Word really open the right page?
Yes. A plain file:///…#page=N link loses the page number on Windows, so MarkOneFlow offers a small installer that teaches Windows to open the PDF in Chrome right on that page. No admin rights needed.
What if I rename or re-download the file?
The document is recognised by its content (the PDF fingerprint), not by its name or address — your annotations and reading position will be found.
Which languages does the interface support?
English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Russian; the language is picked automatically from your browser or manually in the settings.
